Paul Perry GGS 43-50
You will know about John Noble, who died on Good Friday. He was in a hospice for just the last few days. Barbara and I went to the West London Crematorium for the Service. We did not know many people there, except for the family, but unless I failed to recognise someone, I do not think there were any other OGA folk there and in that sense I was pleased to be able to represent the Association.
The eulogy was given by Ian Partridge, a well known soloist, who, having kept a diary of all his engagements, reckoned that he had shared the soloists' platform with John on 36 occasions!
I am keeping in touch with Angela, who came with John to all the recent reunions, and she is managing well and keeping busy with her music teaching.
